It can be enabled from lock settings within the WhatsApp Application.

As all users were asking for it for a long period, so WhatsApp finally launched it after a long beta testing.

Now, WhatsApp allows its user to lock its App via fingerprint sensor, which means one can secure his/her conversations in WhatsApp via special security i.e. Biometric Security.

Third-Party App lockers or switching to iPhone became of no use with this latest feature that comes with WhatsApp Update.

WhatsApp on its latest blog post has announced the new feature Fingerprint Lock authentication which comes with the WhatsApp latest update for all its Android lovers.

Android WhatsApp App will now allow its users to secure their data with fingerprint every time they open their WhatsApp app on their Android Smartphone.

Previously, this feature was available only for iOS users via TouchID or FaceID authentication, from now on this feature is supported on Android devices.

If anyone wishes to enjoy the latest feature then he/she should update their WhatsApp Application from the Google Play Store.

Once the update gets installed, S/He can enable it by following the steps below:

Turn ON the fingerprint lock.

The additional option comes with the latest update for the new fingerprint lock feature.

WhatsApp can ask for fingerprint lock when the user closes the Application or users can set a specific time limit.

For more security, WhatsApp will also offer an opportunity to its users to hide the conversations in the notifications.

For face unlock system devices, they should use biometric options for WhatsApp security.

For modern iPhone models, FaceID is the only biometric option while for the previous iPhone both TouchID also FaceID are available for WhatsApp security.
